I had to get myself (and the house) put back together after the holidays this year. It was a little crazy.
First...
We decorated the house and tree and our selves.
Then...
we visited Grandma Hemming on Christmas Eve. Mack took her picture for me. She gave them some cars and big trucks and cookies, yumm.
Then...
I fixed dinner at my house on Christmas Eve and Mom, Ted, Sarah, Lindsey and Austin came over to eat and open gifts. Look at that huge dinosaur mom got the kids! Where are we going to keep it!?
Next...
we woke up Christmas morning to open our gifts and Santa's gifts. Look at that mess! Spoiled children.
and...
we hurried and got dressed to go to Granny and Grandpa Poole's house to open gifts with Bonney and Jake's family too.
and... we went to Great Granny Clark's house to have Christmas dinner with Blake/Stephanie and Bruce/Lynette and Nan/Willey and fams. I forgot my camera so I'll have to add these pics later when I get some from Kathy and Bonney.
and...we went back to Granny Poole's house to wait for Elder Poole to call from New Jersey. He was nearly an hour late calling and we almost left so that we could make it to my dad's house. Just as we were walking out he called. We hurried and talked first and rushed out the door
to...
Grandpa Hemming's house. My camera had gotten cold out in the snow so it was all fogged up but Mack wanted to take pictures. They got new comforters for their new bunk beds and movies ( I can't get them to stop watching).
The next day.... (after the roads finally opened)
we drove to Montana to visit family and attend Chris Bick's home coming talk in church. Mack and Tuckyr loved to play with all his cousins there. He was sad that he missed Laif :( The window reflected the lights so the pics aren't great but they were having fun. We stayed until Monday and drove home.
Only to...
unpack and repack to leave for our annual snowmobile trip to Island Park with John and Kathy Poole, Robert and Colleen Poole, Bonney and Jake Shumway and kids, and Austin Poole and friend. The kids loved it! We bundled them up to ride the snowmobile and play in the snow. Mack went on three rides. Twice to Big Springs to feed the fish/ducks/muskrat. Once with Grandpa Poole (he was asleep in that picture of Grandpa carrying him). Tuckyr wanted to watch them every time he heard one running outside the room. He loves them! Braden played with the boys in the snow and was throwing Mack into the deep part. Mack and I made a slide and a snow cave (I got too tired so it was only big enough for Mack to fit in).
When we got home the house was a disaster! It took us more then a week to get everything back to normal (I really don't think it still is actually). I did laundry for like a week staight and couldn't get all the stuff to quit piling up on my kitchen counter, but we loved every minute and have to pay the price.

Wow! That was quite the Holiday adventure. And I thought mine was busy. Nothing compared to yours! I'm glad that you had fun.
ReplyDeleteThat would make anyones holidays seem relaxed. Sounds like it was fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun holiday! Great to be with family and friends.
ReplyDeleteWow . . . busy and COLD!!! We are sad we missed you. I knew something fun was happening at home because Jeanne, Dawn, and mom had not called for quite a few days! So I called to see what was up, and found out you were all partying without us. I guess that's what we get for moving all the time.
